Television Feature | Featured in the second-season premiere of DNA Detectives (2017) after DNA testing identified Hunter as one of (then incumbent) Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's relatives. The episode follows Ardern's journey through her family's genetic history, culminating in a visit to the Speculative Life BioLab in Montreal, where Hunter served as Principal Investigator. Jury-nominated for the Ars Electronica S+T+ARTS Prize for Sentient Clit: The Pussification of Biotech
Sentient Clit: The Pussification of Biotech, created in collaboration with Jiabao Li, was nominated by the jury for the prestigious Ars Electronica S+T+ARTS Prize in 2024. The project explores the speculative possibilities of cultivating neurons derived from menstrual stem cells within a 3D bioprinted clitoral scaffold, challenging dominant narratives surrounding biotechnology, gender, and bodily autonomy.

The summit convened artists, scientists, and biosafety experts to inform national conversations on DIY biology and emerging biosafety policy. As part of PHAC's publicly recorded educational series, Hunter's presentation examined how menstrual biomaterials challenge conventional biosafety frameworks and public perceptions of risk, advocating for more inclusive, evidence-informed approaches to biotechnology, artistic research, and biological literacy.
